牽牛之 念座良武 従情 見吾辛苦 夜之更降去者

彦星(ひこほし)の 思ひますらむ 心より 見る我れ苦し 夜(よ)の更けゆけば

- Hikohoshi no Omohi masuramu Kokoro yori Miru ware kurushi Yo no fukeyukeba.

意味 Meaning

彦星(ひこほし)が織姫星(おりひめぼし)を想っている心よりも、それを見ている私のほうが心苦しいですよ。夜が更(ふ)けてゆくので。

- As the night deepens, I feel more saddened watching over the two stars than Hikoboshi reluctant to say goodbye to Orihime.

補足

この歌の題詞には、「湯原王(ゆはらのおおきみ)の七夕(たなばた)の歌二首」とあります。湯原王は志貴皇子(しきのみこ)の息子さんです。

- The title of this poem reads, "Two Tanabata poems by Yuhara-no-Ohkimi." He is the son of Shiki-no-Miko.
