思ひ草 Omohigusa(Aeginetia indica)
思ひ草はハマウツボ科ナンバンギセル属の一年生の寄生植物である南蛮煙管(なんばんぎせる)のことです。ススキ・ミョウガ・サトウキビなどに寄生します。高さはせいぜい２０センチ程度で、９～１０月頃にピンクの花を下向きにつけます。
- Omohigusa is Nanbangiseru(Aeginetia indica), an annual parasitic plant belonging to the genus Nanbangiseru of the Amaranthus family. It parasitizes Susuki, myoga(Japanese ginger), and sugar cane. The height is about 20 cm at most, and the pink flowers are borne downward from September to October.
