妹之當 吾袖将振 木間従 出来月尓 雲莫棚引

妹(いも)があたり 我(わ)は袖(そで)振らむ 木(こ)の間(ま)より 出で来る月(つき)に 雲(くも)なたなびき
いもがあたり わはそでふらむ このまより いでくるつきに くもなたなびき- Imo ga atari Wa ha sode-furamu Konoma yori Idekuru tsuki ni Kumo na tanabiki.
意味 Meaning
愛しい人がいるあたりに向かって、わたしは袖を振りましょう。木の間から出て来る月(つき)に、雲(くも)よ、たなびかないで。
- rough meaning: I shall wave my sleeve toward the place where my beloved is. Oh clouds, do not drift over the moon as it emerges from between the trees and obscure the view (do not cast a shadow over the direction where she is).
