波之吉也思 吾家乃毛桃 本繁 花耳開而 不成在目八方

はしきやし 我家(わぎへ)の毛桃(けもも) 本(もと)茂(しげ)く 花のみ咲きて ならずあらめやも

意味 Meaning

愛(いと)おしい私の家の毛桃(けもも)はこんなに繁っているのですから、花だけが咲いて実がならないなんて、そんなことはないでしょうね。

・恋が実ることを願った歌ですね。

- rough meaning: Since the peaches at my dear home are so luxuriant, I don't think it's possible for the peaches to bloom without bearing fruit.(This love will surely bear fruit.)
