夕星毛 徃来天道 及何時鹿 仰而将待 月人壮

夕星(ゆふづつ)も 通(かよ)ふ天道(あまぢ)を いつまでか 仰(あふ)ぎて待たむ 月人壮士(つきひとをとこ)

Yufuzutsu mo Kayofu amaji wo Itsumade ka Afugite matamu Tsuki hito wotoko.

意味

宵の明星も通う天の道を、いつまで仰ぎ見て待てばいいのかなぁ、お月様。(牽牛と織女のために早く通って行ってあげてほしい。)

・「月人壮士(つきひとをとこ)」は月(つき)を若い男性に見立てた言葉です。

・写真は金星と月です。

- rough meaning: I wonder how long I'll have to look up and wait for the heavenly path that the evening star passes through, my dear moon.(Poem the author wrote in hopes that the moon would soon pass over the night sky, and that the two lovers who appear in Tanabata legends would be able to meet.)
