秋田苅 借蘆毛未壊者 鴈鳴寒 霜毛置奴我二

秋田(あきた)刈る 仮廬(かりいほ)もいまだ 壊(こほ)たねば 雁(かり)が音(ね)寒し 霜(しも)も置きぬがに

意味 Meaning

秋(あき)稲刈りのための仮小屋もまだ壊してはいないのに、雁(かり)の鳴き声が寒々として、霜(しも)も降りてきそうです。

・稲刈りがまだ終わっていないのに、季節の移り変わりが早く、冬へ向かうような冷え込みが感じられることを詠んでいます。

- The temporary hut used for the autumn rice harvest has not yet been dismantled, but the cries of the wild geese sound chilling, and it looks as though frost is about to fall.(This poem reflects on how the seasons are shifting rapidly—bringing a chill that hints at the approach of winter—even though the rice harvest is not yet complete.)
