路邊 草深百合之 後云 妹命 我知

よみ

道の辺(へ)の、草深百合(くさふかゆり)の、後(のち)もと言ふ、妹が命を、我れ知らめやも

意味

道端の茂みに咲いている百合(ゆり)のように、後(のち)も、というあのひとの命を私が知っているものでしょうか。

・百合(ゆり)で「後(のち)、将来」という意味の「後(ゆり)」を導いています。

- rough meaning: I have no idea the life of the girl I love who says "Yuri(See you someday", like the lily(Yuri in Japanese) that blooms in the bushes on the side of the road. (When will it be possible to meet her?)
