鈴寸取 海部之燭火 外谷 不見人故 戀比日

鱸(すずき)取る 海人(あま)の燈火(ともしび) 外(よそ)にだに 見ぬ人ゆゑに 恋(こ)ふるこのころ

意味

鱸(すずき)を獲る海人(あま)の灯火のように、遠くからでさえ見ることができないあの人に恋するこのごろです。

- rough meaning: It's these days I fall in love with that person whom I can't even see from a distance, like the fishing fire which the fisherman lights to catches sea bass.
